can you stack monarch? like double its block damageYozaku 09:14, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Nope, only the highest value is applied

Wrong, the one that triggers will occur. If you have more than one block damage effect, it'll roll for the last obtained item see if it triggers, if it does it stops there. But if it doesn't it'll check the next one in line.

Practical example, you bought wooden shield A, wooden shield B, then picked up monarch. Checks will be as follows:

70% chance to block 60 damage, if successful then checks end here, else

50% chance to block 20 damage, if successful then checks end here, else

50% chance to block 20 damage, if successful then checks end here, else normal damage taken

With this rule when you have a monarch and a king koopa shell at the same time, you'd want to have the monarch check first and let koopa pick up the leftover damage by dropping monarch then picking it up again.

Also in regards to the crit/bash stacking stuff, I got the info from here http://www.dota-blog.com/2008/01/dota-allstars-critical-bash-guide.html

There are many other guides like it (they all say the same thing, I've checked) but this was the first link I found about it.

then how about yuuka 3rd skill that blocks damage?

if i bought monarch (or maybe koopa) when i already mastered the skill, which one triggered first?

I'm not entirely sure. I want to say V would trigger first as long as it was toggled on afterwards, but It would most likely be the other way around. I'll get around to testing it if I remember to.

From testing it seems yuka's V is a special exception to the order rule. It seems to always work first ignoring any other damage block effect no matter the order you obtained them.

I believe Yuka's V is based off Defend/Elune's Grace. 'Other' damage block effects are based off Hardened Skin or something. As for the stacking, I'm not completely sure as well. Whenever I'm not so lazy, I would check.

Perhaps the order Yuka's V is 'acquired' isn't when you level/skill it, but rather when activated? LightburneR 07:29, June 13, 2010 (UTC)

When it comes to skills being aquired means when the first point is put in and isn't reset every time it's leveled. In theory it resets if you reset all your skills but there's no easy way to test that without making a brand new map. Also in the case of yuka's V I tested with aquire order by having v active then picking up a koopa shell but the reduction still was that of the V skill so it seems to be unique in that aspect as it ignores all aquire order. Also I'm pretty sure it's based on defend but the effect does not seem to stack with that of any other harden skin skills, I tested this with a lower level v and trying to prevent the rest of the tower damage with a koopa with no luck. So from what a gather it completely ignores any ordering and is always applied first ignoring all other effects.
